Solicitor (Grade A/B) – Clinical Negligence
Location: Leeds or Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join a highly regarded team with a strong track record of success. This is a opportunity for a driven, commercially minded lawyer to manage complex clinical negligence matters with autonomy, while contributing to the wider success and growth of the department.
You will work alongside recognised specialists (APIL, AvMA, Law Society accredited), handling a challenging caseload from instruction through to resolution. This role offers the chance to shape outcomes, mentor junior colleagues, and play a pivotal part in delivering outstanding results for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a high-value, complex caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion
- Proactive case strategy, drafting, negotiation, and, where necessary, litigation
- Collaborating with clients, experts, and counsel, ensuring excellent client care at all times
- Supporting team performance and development, including coaching junior solicitors
- Driving financial and service delivery targets with a commercial mindset
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ PQE (or equivalent experience) in clinical negligence
- Strong technical expertise with a proven track record in high-value claims
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Commercially aware with strong organisational and case management ability
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
- Client-focused, with exceptional communication skills
