Team Leader – Personal Injury

Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Solicitor to join a leading Personal Injury and Motor Litigation department as a Team Leader. This role offers a blend of strategic leadership, operational management, and technical expertise β€” ideal for an experienced litigator looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Operational Performance & Strategy, you\’ll lead a team of Solicitors, Legal Executives, and Paralegals in delivering high-quality outcomes across all non-portal personal injury and motor-related litigation. You\’ll play a key role in ensuring the team operates efficiently, profitably, and with outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of legal professionals handling personal injury and motor litigation cases.
  • Drive performance by setting and achieving operational and financial targets.
  • Oversee resource allocation and manage team workloads to meet business and budgetary goals.
  • Ensure adherence to processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver expert, ethical, and pragmatic legal advice to clients.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and complaints, using insights to drive service enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and risk management frameworks.
  • Foster a high-performance, positive culture aligned with company values.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments and external stakeholders.
  • Support training and professional development to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.

About you:

  • Qualified Solicitor.
  • Proven experience handling personal injury claims.
  • Strong leadership and team management background within a legal setting.
  • Excellent understanding of personal injury law and litigation processes.
  • Commercially astute, proactive, and client-focused.

Working pattern:

  • 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
  • Hybrid: 3 days from home / 2 days in the Bromley or Leeds office.
