A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a

Non-Contentious Construction Associate (2–5 PQE) to join its highly regarded London construction practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value development and infrastructure projects for a broad client base including developers, investors, contractors, occupiers and public sector bodies.

The team is consistently instructed on significant built environment projects and offers genuine exposure to market-leading work from day one.

The Role

  • You will advise on a wide range of front-end construction matters, including:
  • Drafting and negotiating

JCT contracts and associated construction documentation.

  • Advising on development agreements and development frameworks .
  • Preparing consultant appointments, collateral warranties, novation agreements, guarantees and bonds.
  • Supporting major commercial, residential, mixed-use and regeneration developments.
  • Working closely with real estate, planning, projects and banking teams on large transactions.
  • Providing commercially focused advice throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.

About You

Applications are welcomed from lawyers with approximately

2–6 years' PQE who can demonstrate strong experience in non-contentious construction work.

The ideal candidate will have experience of

  • Non-contentious construction law.

Built environment projects.

JCT contracts

(essential).

  • Development frameworks and development agreements.
  • Consultant appointments and collateral warranties.
  • Advising developers, contractors, investors or public sector clients.
  • Managing matters with increasing levels of responsibility while working as part of a collaborative team.

Experience of NEC contracts or wider infrastructure work would be advantageous but is not essential.

Candidates who have strong construction experience are encouraged to apply, regardless of PQE level.
