A Legal 500-recognised law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution team. Working directly alongside the lead Commercial Litigation Partner, you will become a key figure within the practice, handling complex disputes, managing client relationships, and helping drive the next phase of the team’s growth.
Importantly, the firm is genuinely open-minded on location. Whether you’re based in London, the South East, the Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire, or elsewhere in the UK, they are keen to hear from talented litigators looking for a long-term platform. Following an initial onboarding period, fully remote working is available.
This is a rare chance to join a lean, high-performing litigation team where your contribution will be visible from day one. Rather than being one of many associates in a large disputes group, you will work closely with senior decision-makers, gain significant responsibility, and enjoy direct exposure to clients and strategy.
The work is varied, intellectually stimulating, and commercially focused, covering:
- Complex contractual disputes
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Injunctive relief
- Debt and asset recovery
- Regulatory and business-critical disputes
- General commercial litigation across a broad client base
The quality of work is consistently strong, with the team acting for businesses, directors, shareholders, and high-net-worth individuals on matters that often sit at the heart of their commercial objectives.
Why This Role Stands Out
Most commercial litigation roles ask you to compromise. You either join a highly regarded team with little prospect of progression, or you take a step up in responsibility and sacrifice the quality of work. This opportunity offers both.
Real Progression
This is a genuine number two position to the lead Commercial Litigation Partner. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the future development of the team.
Enhanced Flexibility
The firm understands that excellent lawyers do not all live within commuting distance of a major city office. Fully remote and highly flexible working arrangements are available for the right individual.
High-Quality Work
As a Legal 500-recognised practice, the team is trusted with complex and high-value disputes typically associated with much larger firms.
Autonomy and Trust
You will be given responsibility to run matters, build client relationships, and make an impact without unnecessary layers of management.
Stability
The team enjoys a consistent pipeline of quality instructions from an established client base, providing long-term security and workflow.
About You
You will ideally have:
- 5+ years’ PQE in Commercial Litigation
- Strong experience handling a broad range of commercial disputes
- Confidence managing matters with limited supervision
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- A stable career history demonstrating commitment and progression
- A desire to play a meaningful role within a growing team
Package
Flexibility for exceptional candidates, fully remote working available, genuine long-term progression opportunities, high-quality Legal 500-level work, competitive salary and bonus scheme. Open to candidates across England and Wales.
For commercial litigators seeking better work-life balance without compromising on the quality of matters, responsibility, or future prospects, this represents one of the more attractive opportunities currently available in the market.
