Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment are representing a leading national law firm in the search for a newly qualified Employment Solicitor to join its high-growth Oxford office at an exciting stage of expansion, offering genuine breadth of work and early responsibility within a top-tier team.

The Team

  • A nationally recognised Employment practice of 16 partners and over 80 solicitors across seven offices
  • Highly collaborative, well-integrated team with strong cross-office support and expertise
  • Oxford office in a significant growth phase, combining a dynamic “start-up feel” with national firm backing
  • Close working relationships with partners and senior lawyers, ensuring excellent training and mentorship

The Role

  • Broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment law work
  • Advising a varied client base including life sciences, technology, higher education, healthcare and charity sector organisations
  • Involvement in corporate support work including contracts, settlement agreements and due diligence
  • Structured training and exposure to specialist sectors including health, education and charities
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovation, client service delivery and modern ways of working

The Ideal Candidate

  • Newly qualified solicitor with a strong interest in employment law
  • Commercially aware, proactive and eager to take responsibility early in their career
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
