Associate – Professional Indemnity
Location: Manchester - Hybrid
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000
A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate to join its highly regarded and expanding Professional Indemnity team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a top-ranked practice that advises on high-quality, complex professional indemnity matters across the UK.
The Opportunity
You will join a supportive, ambitious team handling a broad range of professional indemnity claims. The role offers exposure to high-profile clients, interesting workload variety, and excellent opportunities for development within a collaborative national team.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist on large, complex professional indemnity cases within a team environment
• Manage your own caseload of PI matters where appropriate
• Advise on claims involving solicitors, accountants, brokers, construction professionals, universities, and financial professionals
• Handle insurance coverage advice and policy disputes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurer and professional clients
• Engage in business development activities and client-facing opportunities
About You
• 2+ years’ PQE UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with relevant Professional Indemnity experience
• Experience assisting on major professional indemnity cases
• Ideally some experience of running your own Professional Indemnity files
• Strong understanding of PI policies and coverage issues
• Confident with client contact and willing to participate in BD initiatives
• Highly organised with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
