I am representing a leading US law firm with a top-tier global Competition & Antitrust practice. Their London team is looking for a "superstar candidate" - an exceptional newly qualified lawyer who wants exposure to premium work, real responsibility, and a platform that accelerates careers.
The London Competition & Antitrust team is part of a highly regarded global practice, closely integrated with the firm's market-leading private equity and transactional platform. The team advises on complex, high-value merger control, foreign investment and national security filings, cartel investigations, and behavioural and advisory matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Despite its elite international profile, the London team remains lean, collaborative, and entrepreneurial, offering junior lawyers meaningful access to senior practitioners, clients, and regulators from day one.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an NQ qualifying in March 2026 to join a high-performing Competition & Antitrust team. The role will involve:
- Supporting on UK, EU, and international merger control and FDI filings
- Assisting with complex investigations and advisory matters
- Working closely with senior associates and partners on sophisticated, cross-border mandates
- Gaining early exposure to clients, regulators, and strategic competition issues
The Ideal Candidate:
- Is due to qualify as a solicitor in March 2026
- Has completed a Competition, Antitrust, or Regulatory seat (or closely related practice)
- Trained at a leading UK, US, or international firm
- Is academically strong, commercially minded, and highly motivated
- Thrives in demanding environments and wants to work at the top of the market
Applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
