Remote Working with travel to West Midlands Office for team meetings (Once a Month)

I'm currently working on behalf of a well-established membership organisation seeking an Employment Solicitor to join its growing legal team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an employment lawyer who enjoys a mix of advisory and contentious work, supporting professionals with a broad range of workplace issues while managing their own caseload from instruction through to resolution.

The Role

  • Manage a varied employment law caseload independently
  • Advise on disciplinary, grievance, capability, redundancy and dismissal matters
  • Handle Employment Tribunal claims from initial assessment through to conclusion
  • Conduct merits assessments and provide strategic legal advice
  • Negotiate settlements through ACAS and direct discussions
  • Draft tribunal documentation, witness statements and employment-related correspondence
  • Attend preliminary and case management hearings where required
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues when appropriate

The Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive
  • 2+ years' employment law experience
  • Strong Employment Tribunal and litigation experience
  • Excellent drafting and client care skills
  • Able to manage a busy caseload autonomously
  • Experience advising employees, members or claimant clients would be advantageous

This role offers the chance to work within a genuinely supportive environment where you'll make a real difference to members while continuing to develop your employment law expertise.
