A leading regional law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to join its thriving Commercial Property team based in Basingstoke. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing team delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse and expanding client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing diaries and acting as the first point of contact for clients.
- Supporting with file opening and closing processes, including issuing engagement letters and handling general administrative tasks.
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Assisting with business development initiatives and working alongside the marketing team.
- Managing the billing and payments process, including the preparation of invoices, completion statements, and financial summaries.
- Handling property-related tasks such as ordering official copies and searches, completing SDLT returns, and submitting Land Registry applications.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a commercial property setting as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal.
- Ideally, a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the legal sector.
