This role offers excellent client contact from day one, allowing you to manage your own caseload while supporting on high-value and technically challenging matters. The Role
You'll advise clients across a varied caseload of private family matters, including:
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children disputes
- Complex and international children matters
- High-net-worth and sensitive family cases
Alongside managing your own matters, you'll work closely with senior lawyers on more complex cases, helping to deliver practical, commercial and client-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on financial remedy and private children proceedings
- Preparing court applications, witness statements, financial disclosure and other legal documentation
- Supporting Partners on complex and cross-border family matters
- Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts and other professional advisers
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering exceptional levels of client care
- Ensuring accurate file management, time recording and billing
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business
- Contributing to business development through networking, marketing initiatives, articles, podcasts and industry events
The successful candidate will be an experienced Family Solicitor with a solid grounding in both financial and children work. You'll be confident managing your own caseload while also enjoying working as part of a collaborative team on more complex matters.
You'll also have:
- Strong technical knowledge of private family law
- Ideally 3 years' PQE in private Family Law
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
- Outstanding client care and relationship management skills
- A genuine interest in business development and helping to grow the department
