Based in their London City office, this role offers the chance to play a key part within a leading engineering services business with operations spanning the globe.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support a broad range of legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the Middle East and Africa region.

The Role

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will provide high-quality, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver practical legal solutions that support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Lead on the review, negotiation and drafting of a broad range of agreements, with a particular focus on construction and engineering contracts, including FIDIC, NEC3, NEC4 and JCT forms.
  • Provide guidance on governance and compliance matters across various jurisdictions, helping ensure the business meets its legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Support the integration of newly acquired businesses, advising on legal processes and embedding group policies and best practices.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and emerging legal risks, translating these into clear, actionable advice for the business.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, becoming a valued partner who balances legal risk with commercial opportunity.
  • Contribute to wider legal team initiatives and collaborate with colleagues across the business to drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

We’re looking for a commercially minded in-house lawyer who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys working closely with the business. Ideally you’ll have 4 years PQE with a background in FIDIC, NEC3, NEC4 and JCT contracts. Some exposure to advising on activities in the Middle East and Africa region is desirable. This is a varied and high-profile role offering exposure to complex international matters and the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a growing global organisation.
