Are you a highly experienced Real Estate lawyer looking to step away from the billable hour without stepping away from the law? Do you enjoy deconstructing complex legal developments and shaping the technical direction of a national practice? A nationally recognised UK law firm is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join its award-winning Real Estate team. This is a high-visibility, non-fee-earning role designed for a strategic thinker who wants to influence best practices and thought leadership across a premier national platform.

The Role

Working directly with senior leadership, you will be the "engine room" of technical excellence for the department. You won’t just be monitoring the law; you’ll be predicting how it affects the market and ensuring our lawyers stay ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyse legal, regulatory, and market shifts within the UK Real Estate sector.
  • Thought Leadership: Produce high-quality articles, briefings, and deep-dive reports for both internal experts and external clients.
  • Standardisation: Maintain and evolve a sophisticated suite of precedents, templates, and knowledge systems.
  • Technical Training: Design and deliver engaging technical updates and training sessions to a national team of lawyers.
  • Strategic Horizon Scanning: Identify "what’s next" for the property market, from ESG requirements to evolving land use trends.
  • Innovation: Contribute to legal tech integration and continuous improvement projects to streamline client delivery.

About You:

We are looking for a technically brilliant lawyer who can translate complex legal jargon into commercial strategy.

  • UK-qualified lawyer with significant Real Estate experience (7+ years PQE).
  • Technical Authority: A deep understanding of property law with the ability to act as a go-to technical resource for the firm.
  • Mindset: Organised, adaptable, and forward-thinking.
  • Background: Previous Knowledge Management (KM) or PSL experience is a bonus, but we are primarily interested in your Real Estate technical expertise.

If you are an experienced Real Estate lawyer ready to transition into a knowledge-focused career, or an established PSL looking for a more strategic platform, we would love to hear from you. Applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
