My client is a leading UK law firm and they are looking to recruit a Health Advisory & Inquests Associate to join their Birmingham team.

The Role:

  • You will manage a varied caseload of:
  • Court of Protection matters (including advocacy)
  • Inquests, primarily for NHS clients
  • Opportunities to work with independent health and social care providers, as well as local authorities

You will be joining a team of 30 specialist lawyers covering a wide range of health and social care advisory work, including:

  • High Court serious medical treatment cases
  • Mental capacity and deprivation of liberty issues
  • Intervenor proceedings in the Family Court
  • Safeguarding and welfare planning disputes
  • Access and funding disputes, including continuing healthcare/Individual Funding Requests
  • Information governance (DPA/FOI)
  • Judicial review and Human Rights Act claims

About You

  • NQ - 4 PQE solicitor with experience in Court of Protection and/or mental capacity law
  • Strong advocacy skills and the ability to handle sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy
  • A team player with a genuine interest in healthcare and social care law
