My client is a leading UK law firm and they are looking to recruit a Health Advisory & Inquests Associate to join their Birmingham team.
The Role:
- You will manage a varied caseload of:
- Court of Protection matters (including advocacy)
- Inquests, primarily for NHS clients
- Opportunities to work with independent health and social care providers, as well as local authorities
You will be joining a team of 30 specialist lawyers covering a wide range of health and social care advisory work, including:
- High Court serious medical treatment cases
- Mental capacity and deprivation of liberty issues
- Intervenor proceedings in the Family Court
- Safeguarding and welfare planning disputes
- Access and funding disputes, including continuing healthcare/Individual Funding Requests
- Information governance (DPA/FOI)
- Judicial review and Human Rights Act claims
About You
- NQ - 4 PQE solicitor with experience in Court of Protection and/or mental capacity law
- Strong advocacy skills and the ability to handle sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy
- A team player with a genuine interest in healthcare and social care law
