New requirement for an experienced Assistant Company Secretary / Company Sec Assistant to join the in-house team of our UK plc client based in Cheshire. The business is a leading player in the UK Professional Services sector.

We are seeking applications from candidates with more than 2 years experience in a Company secretarial function, ideally in a UK listed business. You will play a key role in supporting the General Counsel & Company Secretary on a range of matters, including:

  • Organising the plc Board
  • Ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, UK Corporate Governance Code and Disclosure and listing rules
  • Producing timely and accurate Board Minutes and ensuring that Board decisions are advised to those who need to take action
  • Maintaining Statutory books, statutory returns and filings and assisting in the production of the Group Report and Accounts

Ideally, you will be a hands-on Assistant Company Secretary, or an experienced Company Secretarial Assistant ready to make the step up. You will be used to being involved in the day-to-day details and supporting an established Company Secretary / General Counsel, as well as other senior stakeholders. The team works collaboratively, making it a great place for the right candidate to act on a number of interesting pieces of work simultaneously.
