Private Client Solicitor / Fee Earner
Location: Near Stafford
Salary: £45K - £60K

This is an opportunity to join an established Private Client team that is continuing to grow. While the immediate requirement has arisen due to maternity leave, the long-term plan is to permanently strengthen the department, giving the successful candidate a secure, long-term position rather than a fixed-term solution.
You'll initially be based near Stafford, managing your own caseload with a high degree of independence. The firm is looking for someone who can work autonomously while still benefiting from the support of a wider Private Client team made up of experienced lawyers, paralegals and secretarial staff across multiple offices.

Billing targets are clearly structured, and any fees generated above target attract a 25% bonus, offering a genuine opportunity to significantly increase your earnings. You'll also benefit from hybrid working, your birthday off each year, and additional annual leave awarded for each year of service up to five years.
What you'll do
- Manage a caseload of private client matters independently
- Advise on wills, probate and estate administration
- Handle Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Assist with trusts where experience allows, although this is not essential
- Build and maintain relationships with clients across the local area
What you’ll need
- 2+ years’ PQE in Private Client, or equivalent fee-earning experience
- Experience handling your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of wills, probate and LPAs
- A full driving licence and ability to travel locally
- A stable employment history and commitment to a long‑term move
