Property Solicitor - Residential Conveyancing

Location: North London

PQE: 3-5 years

Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE

Working Pattern: Office-based, with hybrid flexibility

A well-established and highly regarded West London law firm is seeking a Property Solicitor to join its growing team.

The role will predominantly involve residential conveyancing, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Lease extensions
• Remortgages
• Transfers of equity
• Other property-related matters
• Some commercial property work

About You

We are looking for a 3-5 PQE solicitor with strong residential conveyancing experience and an excellent knowledge of property law.

You will be:

• Confident managing your own caseload
• Client-focused, professional and approachable
• Able to explain the conveyancing process clearly
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Experienced with Microsoft Office
• Familiar with practice management systems (desirable)

The Role

The role will predominantly focus on residential conveyancing, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Lease extensions
• Remortgages
• Transfers of equity
• Other residential property matters
• Some commercial property work
• General property-related matters

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
• Advising clients clearly and confidently throughout the transaction
• Handling freehold and leasehold transactions
• Dealing with lease extensions, remortgages and transfers of equity
• Managing all aspects of transactions efficiently and accurately
• Preparing and reviewing relevant legal documentation
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
• Providing a professional, friendly and approachable service
• Ensuring clients understand the conveyancing process and are kept appropriately updated
• Identifying and developing opportunities for new and repeat business
• Working collaboratively with partners, solicitors and the wider support team
• Making effective use of the firm's secretarial and administrative support

The Team

You will join an established property team comprising partners and solicitors, supported by an experienced secretarial and administrative team.

The firm's existing conveyancing workload is strong, with work coming predominantly through referrals, estate agents and repeat clients. do not need to have your own following to be successful in the role, although an existing client base would be welcomed.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on an established workload while also contributing to the growth of the department.
