Head of Department - Private Client
Location: Hinckley
Salary: Β£55,000 - Β£70,000
This is a genuinely rare opportunity for an experienced Private Client solicitor who wants more than just another fee-earning role. If you've ever wanted the chance to shape a department in your own image, influence strategy, and build something from the ground up, this could be the platform you've been waiting for.
Joining a growing boutique law firm, you'll take the lead in developing and expanding the Private Client offering with significant autonomy and support from the wider business. Rather than stepping into an established structure, you'll have the opportunity to create one. The firm has invested heavily in modern technology, removing the need for traditional legal secretary support and allowing lawyers to work efficiently and focus on client relationships and technical work.
You'll enjoy a varied caseload consisting of Wills, Probate, LPAs, Estate Administration and Court of Protection matters, acting for an impressive client base. The role also offers flexibility with one day per week working from home, alongside a relaxed "dress for your diary" culture and a beautiful rural working environment.
For ambitious Private Client lawyers looking to take the next step into a true leadership position, opportunities like this do not come along often.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop the Private Client department
- Handle a broad caseload including Wills, Probate, LPAs, Estate Administration and Court of Protection matters
- Contribute to business development and department growth
- Shape processes, strategy and service delivery
What you'll need
- 5 years PQE+ in Private Client
- Strong technical experience across a broad private client caseload
- Leadership ambitions and the ability to build a department
- STEP qualification preferred
