With access to an extensive group client base, an increasingly connected referral network and senior leadership support, this role offers significant scope to build the practice and influence its direction.
The legal team sits within a wider business bringing together insurance, tax consultancy and specialist advisory services. A new structure is creating closer collaboration across those businesses, with introductions and opportunities increasingly coming through existing group relationships. There is a substantial client base to engage with and a clear ambition to provide a more complete advisory service.
You will play a central role in developing the business immigration offering, advising organisations on the movement of people across borders and the immigration requirements that support their workforces. This may include sponsor licence applications and compliance, Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes, right-to-work processes, and wider strategic advice on international recruitment and mobility.
The emphasis is on understanding clients' businesses, building lasting relationships and providing practical advice that helps them recruit and retain talent while meeting their immigration obligations.
There is also scope to develop closer links with the international business and its in-house legal team, which the advisory team already supports. As the offering grows, this creates potential for broader exposure across the group and a role that develops beyond individual applications. Shared relationships, joint pitches and collaborative working are central to the set-up, giving you both support and the opportunity to take ownership.
This could suit a Senior Associate or Legal Director with business immigration experience who wants to get closer to the organisations they advise and help shape a growing service. Experience in private practice or in-house could be relevant. Commercial judgement, confidence with clients and an appetite to develop the offering matter more than an existing following.
