Clinical Negligence Associate Solicitor (1 - 3 years PQE) - Competitive Salary (£65,000 DOE) + Bonus
This role gives you high-value, complex clinical negligence work within a Legal 500 recognised team, proper support, and a clear path forward, so you can build your expertise alongside a healthy work-life balance.
You’ll join an expanding, highly regarded team at a leading regional law firm that is part of a national group. Here, junior solicitors aren't left to figure things out alone. Instead, you'll handle complex cases with hand-on guidance, realistic expectations, and the infrastructure to help you succeed.
Your caseload will involve handling files up to £500k in your own name (with some existing files inherited initially to build upon). You will also assist Partners and Senior Solicitors with their high-value, multi-million-pound files, ensuring you gain the experience needed to manage these types of cases independently as you progress.
What this means for you:
- Career-defining cases: Work on complex, sensitive claimant matters (including cerebral palsy, fatal, and neonatal claims) to accelerate your development early.
- Focus on law, not admin: Minimise administrative burden with dedicated paralegals and support teams handling the heavy lifting.
- Flexible targets: Enjoy flexibility in how you hit your goals- whether your strengths lie in technical handling, business development, or mentoring.
- Hybrid working: Benefit from a flexible hybrid working model (typically office-based 2 days a week).
- Clear progression: Know how to advance from day one with structured professional development, regular salary reviews, and support from a larger national group.
What support actually looks like:
- Partners and senior specialists who are actively available and involved in your cases.
- A collaborative team structure where complex files are shared and discussed, so you're never left isolated.
- Regular mentoring and a supportive, open-door team culture.
What you'll get:
- Competitive salary (£65,000 DOE) + bonus, with regular reviews.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with holiday purchase options), plus dependants' leave and volunteering days.
- Private healthcare/cash plan, critical illness cover, and a comprehensive well-being programme.
- Pension scheme, travel benefits, and discounts on selected legal services.
