Are you passionate about supporting people living with dementia to live well and remain engaged with social activities?

Weโ€™re expanding our Dementia Services team at Dougie Mac and are looking for a compassionate Dementia Support Worker to deliver our growing 1-1 community-based service.

๐ŸŒฑ About the Role

Youโ€™ll work directly with people affected by dementia, providing flexible, person-centred support to help individuals engage or re-engage in social activities of their choosing. This may include support at home or in the community.

Youโ€™ll be matched with individuals for regular sessions each week, supporting their wellbeing and helping to reduce social isolation. This is a rewarding opportunity to build trusted relationships and make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals to take part in meaningful activities on a one-to-one basis
  • Promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records and report changes as required
  • Provide transport using your own vehicle (expenses reimbursed)

๐ŸŒŸ What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience of supporting people with dementia
  • A caring, empathetic approach with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Basic IT and record-keeping skills
  • Full UK driving licence and daily access to a car

Salary: ยฃ25,008.96 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday, 8:30am โ€“ 4:30pm)
