The organisation's entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to their headquarters in Carrickfergus, and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe.
We’re looking for a commercial Menswear Buyer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role
As Menswear Buyer, you will play an integral part in the full product lifecycle, from initial concept to sampling through to bulk production, ensuring each new collection is developed in line with Brand DNA, and that the appropriate quality standard is achieved and maintained.
You will co-ordinate the creation of comprehensive seasonal range plans, leveraging extensive sales analysis, as well as trend and market research, aligned to the company’s sales and margin objectives.
In collaboration with design, you will co-ordinate the product development process and be the key liaison with an international supply base.
You will have full accountability over the production process, from PO through to delivery, shipping and fulfilment.
You will be responsible for critical path management of all aspects of product development, buying and production.
The successful candidate will be commercially aware, with a strong eye for fashion.
About You
The role will require the successful candidate to have:
- Previous experience in a buying role is desirable
- Previous experience of preparing and planning a garment collection is desirable
- Experience of sourcing and selection of fabric, trims and accessories is desirable
- Excellent IT ability is essential; strong capability with MS Office packages is desirable
- A full driving licence, valid passport and the willingness to travel when required
