As part of Adept Care Homes—a family-run, Midlands-based group providing high-quality residential and dementia care—you'll join our friendly team at Douglas Court, a purpose-built 43-bed dementia care home in Ivy Square, Derby. Our Senior Care Assistants play a vital role in residents' daily lives, offering the same kindness and compassion you would give your own loved ones. You'll support residents with all aspects of daily living, providing both emotional and practical care while promoting dignity, independence, and happiness.
About the Senior Care Assistant role:
- Pay of £13.91 Per Hour
- Hours per week
- Day Shifts - 07:30 - 19:30
- Alternate Weekend Working Required
Our Senior Care Assistants are an important part in our resident's day to day lives. We ask that you are seen as an extension to our resident's family by treating them with the same kindness and compassion that you would treat your own loved-ones. You will ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by the team in supporting/assisting resident's with all aspects of their daily living. With Adept's help, you will offer emotional & physical support to our residents while providing attention when needed, ensuring residents dignity, independence and happiness remain the cornerstone of our care.

What we are looking for:
- NVQ Level 2 in Care (essential)
- NVQ Level 3 in Care (desirable)
- Previous care experience (essential)
- Previous Senior Care experience (desirable)
- Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
You will be given a thorough induction into your role via one of our experienced mentors, while receiving both online and face to face training during this time and throughout your career at Adept Care. Our dedicated Training Manager and Dementia Manager are happy to arrange or support with any additional training you feel you may need to ensure you are supported in reaching your full potential while fulfilling your career ambitions.
