If you answered "Yes," then we’re looking for you to join our team! We’re on the hunt for a meticulous and motivated individual to become our cleaner. You’ll be the unsung hero who keeps our bakery, office areas, and shopfront spotless, ensuring everything stays squeaky clean and ready for action. You’ll be working with our wider night shift team (10pm - 6am) helping us maintain our high standards and keeping everything running smooth as buttercream.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tackle routine cleaning tasks throughout our bakery, from sweeping and mopping to vacuuming floors, wiping down surfaces, and dusting shelves.
- Keep our food prep areas gleaming by cleaning and sanitising countertops, cutting boards, and utensils, following all the necessary food safety rules.
- Give our baking equipment some TLC - clean and sanitise ovens, mixers, and other machinery to ensure they’re spotless and ready for the next bake-off.
- Take out the trash regularly and keep the waste disposal areas neat.
- Scrub and shine the toilets, sinks, and mirrors so they’re as hygienic and presentable as our best-selling cupcakes.
- Keep an eye on our cleaning supplies - replenish and order stock as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues to the right folks.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with the rest of our team to coordinate cleaning tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is a plus.
- A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to keeping things clean.
- The ability to work independently, with great time management skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is a bonus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
