We are seeking an Estimator for a leading Sub Contractor within the construction industry, they transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled Estimator to join an excellent team and contribute to their continued success.

Position Overview: As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates. You will be an integral part of the Pre-Construction team working closely with the Sales and Bid teams, this role will also need a person who has exposure to being client facing and somebody who is used to speaking with Architects and Tier 1 Contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand scope and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, labour costs, subcontractor bids, and overhead expenses.
  • Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing and accurate project data.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and client presentations as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to inform estimating practices and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
