Estimator - Leeds - £55,000 We are seeking an Estimator for a leading Subcontractor within the construction industry. They transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled Estimator to join an excellent team and contribute to their continued success. Position Overview: As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates. You will be an integral part of the Pre- Construction team working closely with the Sales and Bid teams, this role will also need a person who has exposure to being client facing and somebody who is used to speaking with Architetcs and Tier 1 Contractors. Responsibilities: * Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand scope and requirements. * Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, labour costs, subcontractor bids, and overhead expenses. * Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing and accurate project data. * Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and timely delivery of materials and services. * Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and client presentations as needed. * Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to inform estimating practices and strategies. Qualifications: * Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts. * Advanced knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office suite. * Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
