Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Partitioning & Interiors About the company Our client is an established specialist in the partitioning and joinery industry. With in-house manufacturing and installation teams, they deliver Cat A and Cat B fit-out projects for leading fit-out contractors and end clients. Sectors include commercial offices, education, healthcare and professional services. Their order book across London is busy, so they are growing their commercial team and are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support live projects. The role You will support the Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Manager across several fit-out projects, from contract award through to final account. You will get broad exposure to the commercial side of a specialist manufacturer and installer, with a clear route to progress to Quantity Surveyor. Key responsibilities * Help prepare monthly valuations and applications for payment * Measure works on site and from drawings, and track progress against the programme * Record and price variations, and help prepare change submissions * Check and process supplier invoices and installation subcontractor payments * Help prepare cost reports, CVRs and forecasts * Maintain commercial records, including contract documents, instructions and correspondence * Attend site meetings and build good working relationships with main contractor and client teams * Support final account preparation and agreement About you Essential * Some experience in a QS or commercial role within construction, ideally with a specialist subcontractor or in fit-out * Good numerical skills and careful attention to detail * Confident using Excel * Able to read drawings and carry out measurements * Organised, proactive and keen to learn Desirable * Experience of glazing, partitioning, doors or interior fit-out packages * Some understanding of JCT subcontracts * Awareness of fire-rated products and compliance requirements * Working towards RICS or CIOB membership What's on offer * Competitive salary * Pension scheme * Training, development and support towards professional qualifications * Clear progression to Quantity Surveyor * An established, growing business with a strong London pipeline How to apply To apply, please send your CV or click apply below for an immediate interview
