Estimator – Façades About the company Our client is an established specialist subcontractor working across the building envelope and interiors. They deliver packages for leading main contractors in London and the South East. Their façade division works on residential, regeneration, education and leisure schemes, from new build through to recladding. A growing order book means they now need an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The role You will price façade packages from enquiry to submission. You will turn architectural drawings and specifications into accurate, competitive tenders. You will work closely with the design, commercial and operations teams to make sure every bid is buildable, compliant and priced correctly. Key responsibilities * Review tender documents, drawings and specifications to understand scope, risk and programme * Carry out detailed take-offs and build up cost estimates for rainscreen cladding, render, windows and associated works * Get and compare quotes from manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors * Price labour, materials, access, plant and preliminaries * Assess fire performance and Building Safety Act requirements on new build and recladding projects * Suggest value engineering options and alternative systems or materials * Prepare clear tender submissions, including qualifications, exclusions and clarifications * Liaise with main contractors, architects and consultants * Attend tender review and handover meetings, and pass successful projects to the delivery team * Keep pricing data, supplier records and cost benchmarks up to date About you Essential * Proven estimating experience in façades, rainscreen cladding or the building envelope trade * Good knowledge of cladding systems, substrates and installation methods * Understanding of fire performance and building regulations for external walls * Able to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings * Strong numerical skills, with careful attention to detail * Confident with Excel and estimating or take-off software * Able to manage several tenders against tight deadlines Desirable * Experience pricing recladding or remediation projects * A Quantity Surveying, Construction or related qualification * Good relationships with cladding manufacturers and suppliers * Experience on high-rise residential schemes in London What's on offer * Competitive salary * Hybrid working * Pension scheme * Training, development and clear progression * A growing business with a strong pipeline of work How to apply To apply, please send your CV or click apply below
