Early Years Activity Leader – Bilingual French/English

Locations: Fulham, Notting Hill or South Kensington

Contract: School Holidays (with opportunities for recurring seasonal work)

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:15pm

Dates:

Half Term | October 19th - 30th 2026

Half Term | February 8th - 19th 2027

Easter | March 29th - April 9th (including Bank Holidays) 2027

Summer | July 5th - July 30th (Fulham camp continues until August 6th) 2027

As Douce France Holiday Camps continue to grow, we are looking for enthusiastic, caring and highly engaged Early Years Activity Leaders to join our teams across our three London locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment while delivering fun and engaging holiday experiences.

As an Early Years Activity Leader, you will take responsibility for a group of children under 5 throughout the day, ensuring their individual needs, safety and wellbeing are consistently met.

Working alongside the Camp Manager, fellow Activity Leaders and external activity providers, you will help deliver a varied and engaging programmes.

About Us

Since 2022, Douce France has been delivering bilingual holiday camps for children aged 3 to 11.

Our educational approach combines immersive language learning with play-based experiences, enabling children to discover and strengthen their French while developing their creativity, confidence, imagination and physical skills. We also place great importance on helping children learn to live, play and grow together, encouraging collaboration across different age groups.

At Douce France, play is at the heart of everything we do. Through arts, creativity, imagination, movement and sport, we create engaging experiences that nurture children's natural curiosity and instinct to learn through fun.

About the Role

As an Early Years Activity Leader, you will:

  • Take responsibility for a group of children under 5 throughout the day
  • Put safeguarding at the heart of everything you do, following Douce France's safeguarding, health & safety and Early Years procedures at all times.
  • Ensure the individual care and wellbeing needs of younger children are met, supporting their routines, personal care, independence and emotional wellbeing throughout the day.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging activities and support our activity providers when required.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive and positive environment where every child feels secure, valued, supported and encouraged to explore, play and develop at their own pace.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and contribute proactively to the smooth running and quality of the camp.
  • Bring an engaged, dynamic and positive attitude, showing initiative, flexibility, reliability and professionalism while thriving in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

About You

You will have:

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised by the Department for Education (DfE) as full and relevant (essential).
  • Fluency in English and a good command of French.
  • Previous experience working directly with children under 5, ideally within an Early Years, nursery, preschool, holiday camp or childcare setting.
  • A strong understanding of the developmental, emotional and care needs of younger children.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and children's welfare, and the ability to follow procedures carefully and consistently at all times.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and respect the camp's operational framework.
  • The ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment with high standards.
  • A positive, energetic and dynamic attitude, with the ability to motivate children and contribute to a great team atmosphere.
  • Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one – we can support the application if required).
