Overview

The Double Tree by Hilton Bristol City Centre is one of the leading 4* city centre hotels with 120 team members.

The hotel is now actively looking to recruit an HR Administrator to join the HR team.

The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience as a HR Administrator.

The person will also be able to demonstrate great people skills, be reliable, positive, adaptable and ensure team expectations are pro-actively met with a high level of attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be able to consistently meet deadlines and prioritise time effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding administration, ensuring it’s completed accurately within the required timeframe.
  • Conduct employee inductions and site tours while supporting a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Organising and maintaining the HR employee records, keeping the HR Audit spreadsheet updated and handling employee data with strict confidence.
  • Monitoring HR inbox, replying to queries and keeping it up to date & organised
  • Creating and resetting Hilton University Passwords/creating new accounts
  • Managing Uniform (Stock taking & tracking), creating Purchase Orders and ordering new uniform from our supplier
  • Filing away incoming documents Set up/running and pull-down of our engagements (these are mostly in the working day) - but we also have the summer and Christmas party, and sporadic weekend events - so someone who is open to attending these when they are available & bringing their positivity would be great!
  • Organising birthday and special occasion cards & flowers - keeping track of when they are required so none are missed.
  • Supporting our training sessions or booking and facilitating external training etc.
  • Work experience administration
  • Creating posters for events on Canva and updating noticeboards / sending out comms
  • Build strong working relationships with team, HODs and senior leadership
  • Keep the HR office clean and tidy
  • Be the first point of contact for employee queries regarding payroll, contract, holiday and other HR-related questions
  • Support with our charity fundraising, ticket sales and banking money raised
  • Notetaking for meetings (Including grievances and disciplinaries)
  • Support data analysis to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Cover HR Manager absences (Holidays/sickness etc)

Skill/Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administration role
  • People-Focused: Effective communicator, engaged with others, friendly & professional.
  • Positive attitude: As HR professionals, we are the drive behind the culture, so bringing the energy and positivity needed for this is essential
  • Discreet, approachable, and trusted with confidential information.
  • Can-do attitude, adaptability and willingness to learn - as the role is quite varied.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Reliable and supportive person.
  • Proactive and a problem solver.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards (Potential for us to fund this for you)
  • Previous experience within an HR administration role
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR practices
  • Experience using HRIS or payroll systems
  • Recruitment and onboarding administration experience

Schedule

Day shift working 22.5 paid hours per week plus half an hour unpaid lunch break everyday.

This is an onsite role only.
