We are set in 24 acres of beautiful woodland, Doubletree by Hilton St Anne's Manor, Wokingham is a stunning property that is close to the M3 and M4.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Food and Beverage Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Food and Beverage Operations Manager across all areas, including meetings and events, restaurant, and bars.

The ideal candidate will currently be working in a similar position within a branded hotel establishment and possess strong leadership skills. You will be a natural leader, capable of coaching, developing, and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional service.

This is a hands-on role, requiring someone who is highly customer-focused, passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.

Day in the life of:

In this pivotal role, each day begins with a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail. Reporting directly to the F&B Operations Manager, you will be a linchpin in our leadership team. Mornings often involve comprehensive planning, setting the tone for the day's events and dining experiences. Collaborating with various departments and overseeing operations, you ensure seamless coordination, from events to F&B services. Guest interactions and ensuring their satisfaction are at the heart of your day, reflecting our commitment to exceptional service. You'll dive into financial analysis, team development, and the continuous quest for improvement, crafting a symphony of excellence within our hotel.

Example key responsibilities:

  • A hands-on operator who is present at key times ensuring the smooth operation across the hotels F&B outlets including meeting and events
  • Supporting the F&B Ops Manager in successful delivery of F&B skills training. As well as ensuring brand, internal, development, and compliance training is completed within the team.
  • Defining and maintaining standard operating procedures within the F&B operation.
  • Focusing on controlling costs across the F&B operation such as payroll, ordering, wastage, stock control, etc.
  • Continual coaching and mentorship of the F&B operations team As well as line management for supervisory and management team members.
  • Maximising all revenue possibilities. Cultivating a culture of confident upselling and cross selling within the team.
  • Champion of the brand across the food and beverage function.
  • Duty Management shifts.
