You’ll be based in Stoke on Trent, with occasional (at least monthly) travel to our other fantastic hotels — think of it as work with a change of scenery!
About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a highly organised, detail-loving, number-crunching superstar to join us as our Assistant Cluster Financial Controller. You’ll play a key role in keeping our cluster running smoothly behind the scenes — supporting financial operations, strengthening processes, and helping us deliver exceptional performance across all three hotels. If you love balancing the books as much as balancing priorities, this could be your next great move.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting cluster financial operations and day-to-day processes
- Helping the Cluster Financial Controller drive business performance and success
- Keeping records, reports, and documentation accurate and up to date
- Working closely with colleagues, suppliers, and external partners
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Supporting month-end processes, journals, and lead schedules
- Being a key player in improving processes across the cluster
- Delivering brilliant support to internal and external stakeholders
About You
You’re not just good with numbers — you love them. We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Strong accounting experience (hospitality/hotel background is a big plus)
- Month-end experience, including journals and lead schedules
- AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Strong organisational skills and razor-sharp attention to detail
- Great communication skills — you can talk finance without the jargon overload
- The ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines without breaking a sweat
- A proactive, flexible “let’s get it done” attitude
