What We’re Looking For
Seasoned leader with a passion for impeccable cleanliness and exceptional guest experiences. As Housekeeping Manager you will be the linchpin ensuring guests step into perfectly curated spaces. We value your organisational finesse, team leadership, sharp eye for detail, communication skills, problem‑solving ability and ability to motivate a diverse housekeeping team. This position is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.
Day In The Life Of
- Lead the housekeeping team to provide clean and fresh rooms.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards, make beds, clean bathrooms, report damage, manage safety, and respond to guest requests.
Example Key Responsibilities
- Engage, train, lead and inspire the housekeeping team.
- Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure rooms, corridors and service areas meet hotel standards.
- Maintain clear communication with hotel management and participate as a senior manager within the business.
- Support recruitment and related procedures, including right to work checks.
- Manage authorised absence and ensure coverage without interruption.
- Ensure staff are conversant with health and safety policies and attend relevant training.
- Maintain statutory training records in line with brand and company standards.
- Train staff on standards, productivity and address concerns, re‑training when necessary.
- Manage and resolve queries from team members.
- Evaluate performance through regular appraisals.
- Conduct housekeeping inventories.
- Represent the department in daily and other meetings.
