The Role:
- Take responsibility for all client and groups booked into the hotel through the sales and marketing department, ensuring that their needs in all areas, including bedrooms, meeting rooms and food and beverage are being met.
- Act as liaison between the sales department and the operations department on behalf of clients.
- Ensure that all customer requests and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner.
- Conduct a minimum number of calls per week to clients with potential business for the hotel.
- Maintain all market segment databases and ensure appropriate mailings are carried out.
- Conduct market research and telesales campaigns as required.
- Complete monthly reports and provide critical analysis to highlight current business levels and all new business received.
- Compile Key Accounts Plan for all existing and new accounts.
- Conduct site inspections and communicate the Hotels services to the guests.
- Assist with the co-ordination of corporate hospitality events.
- Attend weekly sales meetings.
- Ensure open communication exists between departments.
- Maintain a professional and working attitude and demeanor towards other team members and clientele.
- Communicate and cooperate with management colleagues.
- Be aware of VIPs and show rounds, communicating this to the teams within the bar, restaurant and conference.
- Make a positive contribution to the department meetings.
- Attend training sessions and show willingness to develop skills and knowledge.
- Gather feedback from clients and guests.
- Contribute to the department achieving revenue and sales targets.
- Make a positive contribution to the hotels overall SALT scores.
