We're looking for a Senior Technologist to lead customer-facing technical conversations, guide our customers through complex challenges, and ensure our products meet the highest standards. You'll be presenting to customers, managing key relationships, and playing a hands-on role at the heart of our manufacturing operation - where your expertise will help shape quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Technologist at Double H, you'll play a key role in delivering technical excellence across our customer base. You'll lead customer-facing conversations, provide hands-on support, and ensure our products meet and exceed expectations. This is a dynamic role requiring strong communication, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage specifications, support product launches, and drive continuous improvement. Your work will directly contribute to reducing waste, improving quality, and supporting business growth.

Other responsibilities include:

  • To work with other technologists within the team to achieve technical requirements for the customer.
  • To ensure all customer product has an accurate and achievable specification.
  • To agree plant specifications with customers, suppliers, NPD, and the Plant Care Manager.
  • To manage the temporary specification process for assigned customers.
  • To work with NPD to ensure hardware meets technical requirements and is true-to-type.
  • To distribute final customer specifications to the wider business and ensure compliance.
  • To organise and conduct pre-productions internally and with customers to ensure the success of product launches.
  • To visit growers or producers, when appropriate, to review crops or production.

What you Bring:

  • Proven experience in customer-facing technical roles, ideally within manufacturing or horticulture.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead meetings and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with plant passporting, import/export requirements, and commercial glasshouse production.
  • Knowledge of plant and hardware quality, HACCP, and audit processes.
  • Computer literacy and experience with document management systems.
