This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding complex problems, thinking critically about requirements, and working collaboratively to deliver value through well-defined product increments.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, UX Designers, Scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business objectives and product requirements.
- Gather, analyse, challenge, and document business and user requirements, ensuring they are clear, complete, and ready for development.
- Translate Epics into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting analysis documentation within Jira and Confluence.
- Refine and maintain the product backlog, working closely with Product Managers to prioritise work and prepare stories for delivery.
- Analyse business processes and user workflows to identify opportunities for product improvements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and QA throughout delivery, ensuring requirements are understood and questions are resolved promptly.
- Work across multiple Agile teams to ensure consistency of requirements and successful delivery.
- Help identify and mitigate delivery risks, managing stakeholder expectations throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring delivered functionality meets business needs.
- Use product analytics and customer feedback to help identify future product improvements.
- Contribute to wireframes, user flows, and lightweight prototypes where appropriate to communicate product requirements more effectively.
- Support wider product initiatives through customer discussions, technology research, and cross-functional collaboration where required.

- Experience working within Agile Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Strong experience gathering, analysing, documenting, and refining business requirements.
- Proven experience translating business needs into Epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and think independently.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence (or similar Agile tooling).
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is beneficial but not essential. Experience within scientific software or Life Sciences would be advantageous but is not required.
Required skills:
- Strong Business Analysis experience within B2B Enterprise SaaS products.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Product, Engineering, QA, UX, and business teams.
- Experience analysing business processes and translating complex requirements into deliverable work.
- Quality Analysis and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Confidence working independently, asking the right questions, and driving ambiguous requirements through to clear outcomes.
Nice to have:
