We are looking for a Product Manager to support product security and cybersecurity initiatives for the Luma platform. You will have the opportunity to work on Luma – Dotmatics’ flagship scientific intelligence platform that unifies scientific data from instruments, analytic tools, and supporting systems to drive scientific discovery, uncover insight, and accelerate decision-making in enterprise research settings. Reporting to the Principal of Product Management, you will work in an agile software development environment with a team of Product Managers, the PSSO (Product Security & Solutions Team), and across the wider Dotmatics organisation.

As the Product Manager with a focus on Product Security and Cybersecurity, you will play a leading role in executing on Dotmatics’ security strategy for Luma and related offerings, serving as a subject matter expert in discussions with clients and R&D teams, and ensuring that security practices are embedded throughout the product development and SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).

In this role you will get to:

  • Own Product Security Strategy: Define and drive the product security strategy for Luma-related products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
  • Lead the development of security features and enhancements, balancing user experience with robust security measures to deliver secure and user-friendly products.
  • Manage penetration tests and vulnerability scans. Evaluate results and collaborate with teams on reasonable mitigations where justified.
  • Ensure that security practices and requirements are clearly defined and integrated into product specifications and development processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between product management, other Product Managers, and the Product Solution and Security Operations (PSSO) team.
  • Participate in sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other agile events – acting as a trusted partner to engineering on security-related initiatives.
  • Lead responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) concerning product security and contributing to Dotmatics’ Trust Centre.
  • Own project scope, priorities, and track to milestones, timelines and deliverables for security-related initiatives.
  • Translate security initiatives and goals into actionable stories.
  • Write PRDs, user stories and processes to describe security requirements.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for people who have 7+ years of experience in SaaS product management with experience in functional and non-functional product security components. You will have deep expertise in Product Security and ideally experience within the Life Sciences industry. You will be familiar with working in a matrix organisation environment and working as part of a cross-functional team delivering on time and to specification.

The Key Skills we are looking for:

  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles and product development lifecycles.
  • Working knowledge of scientific, engineering, and product management concepts, tooling, techniques, and best practices.
  • B2B Product Management of Enterprise SaaS products.
  • Working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Building and executing on Product Roadmaps.
  • Quality Analysis & User Acceptance Testing.
  • Reviewing Penetration and vulnerability testing methodologies, coordination, and remediation.
  • SCA tools (e.g. Snyk or others).
  • Fluency in Confluence and Jira or similar tools.
  • Senior internal stakeholder and client communication skills.

You may also have:

  • Understanding of data platforms, data management, data mapping/enrichment, ETL, API integration, data modelling, multi-tenant platform architectures.
  • Experience operating in validated and/or regulated settings (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST, etc.).
  • Familiarity with industry security standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Kubernetes, container security).
