About the Role
Role Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to oversee GL close for the group with a focus on our US/UK regions, including acquisition integration. You will report to the Group Finance Manager and lead a small growing team of financial accountants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all business units. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the finance department as we continuously evolve to meet the changing needs of the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and co‑coordinate the month‑end general ledger close for the group with a primary focus on our US and UK regions, including integration of recent US acquisitions, and provide support to the JAPAC region.
- Manage, develop, and support a team of financial accountants; including hiring and fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment to meet deadlines.
- Own and support revenue reporting across the group, ensuring data integrity and effective collaboration between financial systems (HubSpot CRM, Sales Board, dotdigital platform, and accounting packages). Assist with Saleboard, Partner Programme & commission calculations.
- Assist the Tax team with the preparation and submission of VAT, GST, sales tax returns, payroll compliance globally as required and deal with queries.
- Support management accounting and reporting activities, working closely with the FP&A team to facilitate strategic decision‑making and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as necessary via excel/ Datarails and other tools.
- Support statutory group and local external audits, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
- Contribute to cash flow management and treasury operations globally across the group.
- Work closely with the Group Finance Manager and Senior Financial Accountant on ad‑hoc finance initiatives, including the oversight and improvement of Accounts Payable and Receivable processes and financial systems across the group.
- Play a part in ongoing finance digital transformation initiative, which features an ambitious roadmap aimed at enhancing reporting systems, operational efficiency, scalability, visibility and data‑driven insights across the department.
- Help shape and develop the finance function by contributing ideas and implementing changes to ensure the department adapts to the evolving needs of the business.
About You:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 5+ year post qualification experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in financial accounting, team management, and regional oversight within a multinational environment.
- Comfortable in a high‑growth SaaS or tech environment and working hybrid/remote within a team.
- Strong working knowledge of excel/financial systems, including CRM tools, QuickBooks, Sage, Billing platforms and other financial platforms.
- Experience in revenue reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and treasury management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to driving change and process improvement within the finance department and grow with the role/company.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all business functions and regions.
