About the Role: A global digital business going through transformation and change across a complex, fast-paced, multi-entity environment and is continuing to invest heavily in automation, systems and finance transformation. They have a large finance team and, due to growth, are looking to bring in an Interim to support the team through a busy period of change.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant who can jump into different areas of the business as the team goes through a period of significant change also having recently completed 2 acquisitions and the opening of our Japan entity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end general ledger close for some of the entities in the group including producing balance sheet reconciliations, journals including accruals, prepayments, deferred income & intercompany.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlines and assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting as required along with treasury.
- Assist with revenue reporting across the group, utilizing systems such as HubSpot CRM, Sales Board, Dotdigital platform, and various accounting software.
- Support the Tax team with the preparation and submission of VAT, GST, sales tax returns, compliance globally as required and deal with queries.
- Help shape and develop the finance function by contributing ideas and implementing changes to ensure the department adapts to the evolving needs of the business.
- Support ad hoc finance systems and business improvement projects as required.
About You:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 5+ year post qualification experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in financial accounting, teamwork, and regional oversight within a multinational environment.
- Comfortable in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment and working hybrid/remote within a team.
- Strong working knowledge of excel/financial systems, including CRM tools, QuickBooks, Sage, Billing platforms and other financial platforms.
- Experience in revenue reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and treasury management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to driving change and process improvement within the finance department.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all business functions and regions.
