The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced IT leader with a track record of defining and delivering IT strategies in global/multi-site organisations. You will lead and inspire a high-performing IT team, partnering with executives and department heads. This role combines vision and execution: evolve our IT operations, drive transformation, and champion operational excellence across our international offices.
- Strategy & Leadership: Set the direction and vision for Corporate IT; champion technology’s role as an enabler of company and product strategy.
- Transformation: Standardise and optimise our IT operating model and processes, leveraging best practices from enterprise environments.
- Scale: Ensure IT is an innovation partner, supporting our business through growth, M&A, and organisational change.
- Operations Excellence: Run a robust, user-experience focused IT helpdesk and infrastructure that delivers world-class support and meets business needs 24/7.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate cross-functionally to deeply understand requirements, building IT solutions that empower our workforce and drive client success.
What you’ll do
- Leadership & People: Lead, mentor, and develop a multinational IT team (currently 6), growing capability, culture, and business alignment. Instil accountability for SLAs, service standards, and ongoing innovation. Manage recruitment, coaching, and talent development for the team.
- IT Operations & Service Delivery: Own our global, cloud-first Corporate IT infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, telephony, endpoints). Partner with InfoSec to maintain and improve IT security practices and compliance. Oversee all aspects of device, identity, and access management; deliver seamless user onboarding/offboarding. Ensure the highest levels of user satisfaction by driving continual improvement and proactive support with a key focus on user experience.
- Strategy, Transformation & Projects: Design and deliver global IT strategies, aligning technology with business goals and future needs. Lead or sponsor IT projects—including service transitions, new tools rollouts, integration/M&A projects, or DR/BCP planning. Introduce and embed process improvements, innovation, and automation for scale and consistency.
- Financial & Vendor Management: Direct and optimise a significant IT budget (multi-million pound scope); report, forecast, and drive ROI. Own IT procurement, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management. Oversee IT asset management, lifecycle planning, and refresh cycles.
What you bring
- Proven senior experience leading Corporate IT / ICT in complex, multi-site/global business environments.
- Demonstrable expertise in strategic IT operations, team leadership, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Track record of successfully delivering transformation, standardisation, or IT modernisation projects.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, device management, and enterprise IT operations (Windows, macOS environments, cloud networks).
- Strong business partnering, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Deep commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
- Experience managing or auditing to regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, ITIL), and working closely with Information Security.
- Experience leading and supporting remote‑first, international user bases.
Bonus points for
- Experience with M&A IT integration or complex change management.
- Enterprise‑scale service desk operations, ZenDesk.
- Microsoft, Cisco or ITIL certifications.
