About DotCentric

DotCentric is an award-winning digital experience and technology partner. We research, design, build and support business-critical websites for leading organisations across the public and private sectors. From to accessible, content-heavy CMS websites to large-scale e-commerce platforms we deliver digital experiences where user experience is business-critical.

The role

We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our growing team and lead end-to-end website experience design. You’ll estimate projects, run discovery workshops, undertake user research, define information architecture and deliver beautiful and accessible high-fidelity responsive designs ready for development.

You’ll collaborate closely with clients and our delivery team to ensure solutions are user-centred, conversion-driven and technically achievable. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong UX fundamentals, refined visual design craft and the confidence to lead projects with autonomy.

Just as importantly, you’ll need to be confident working with words. We’re looking for someone skilled in content design, information architecture and writing clear, effective microcopy that guides users and drives action.

Note: this role focuses on content-heavy web estates (CMS and commerce) and web application work. If your experience is primarily in native apps, dashboards or SaaS products, it’s probably not the right fit.

What you’ll do

  • Lead discovery: run stakeholder workshops and undertake user research (user interviews and usability testing).
  • Translate insights or best practice into IA, sitemaps, user journeys, wireframes and prototypes.
  • Deliver responsive, accessible, high-fidelity designs in Figma, including design systems and interaction patterns.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure designs are feasible, scalable and aligned with CMS and commerce platforms.
  • Present work to clients, guide decision-making and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  • Champion accessibility, designing to WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and client partners.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven agency experience working on important large-scale, business critical websites and applications.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills: experienced leading projects, running workshops and presenting design decisions clearly and articulately.
  • Ability to switch seamlessly between big-picture strategy and detailed design execution, with a flair for creating engaging, modern web experiences and user interfaces.
  • Strong UX skills: discovery, user research, IA, wireframing, prototyping and usability testing.
  • Strong UI craft: expert use of typography, spacing, colour, imagery, brand translation, design systems and motion where appropriate.
  • Skilled in content design: able to shape how content is structured, written and presented to improve clarity, engagement and conversion.
  • Confident writing effective microcopy that guides users and supports business goals.
  • Expert Figma skills and a solid understanding of how designs translate into code.
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Understanding of designing for enterprise DXP/CMS platforms.
  • Agency experience and ability to work at pace across multiple projects.
  • Curiosity about how emerging AI tools can support the UX design process.

Why join DotCentric

  • Shape the experience of high-profile websites across the public and private sector.
  • Work in a collaborative, evidence-guided, outcome-driven culture where design quality matters.
  • Enjoy flexibility, autonomy and the chance to shape our UX research and design practice as we continue to grow.
  • Competitive salary, remote working and clear progression opportunities.
  • Remote-first agency with options for in-person collaboration in London and Leeds, plus quarterly socials.
  • 25 days annual leave (plus 1 extra day per year after 3 years, up to 30).
  • Access to a rewards platform with discounts and perks.
