We’re recruiting a Finance Manager (Revenue) for a broad, technically demanding role with a strong focus on analysis, forecasting, budgeting and complex revenue recognition. This is not a typical Revenue Manager role. Whilst there is responsibility for core revenue processes, the emphasis is on understanding revenue behaviour, working through detailed calculations, managing large datasets and applying robust revenue recognition models.
We’re ideally looking for either a fully qualified accountant, from either an industry or practice background, or a senior Revenue professional with extensive experience taking accountability for highly complex calculations, reconciliations and revenue models. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll also have line management responsibility for 1 member of staff.
Key responsibilities- Full ownership of revenue accounting, including accruals, reconciliations and revenue recognition
- Preparing and reviewing complex revenue calculations and models
- Managing and analysing large, detailed datasets to ensure accuracy and control
- Producing revenue forecasts, budgets and detailed variance analysis
- Supporting senior management with clear, well-reasoned revenue insight
- Acting as the lead contact for significant and complex revenue queries
- Overseeing billing and cash collection activity, working closely with credit control
- Driving improvements in revenue processes, controls and reporting
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) or senior revenue professional with deep technical experience
- Strong background in analysis, forecasting and budgeting
- Comfortable with detailed, hands-on calculations and complex reconciliations
- Experienced in handling large datasets and complex revenue recognition models
- Confident, experienced and technically strong
- Able to deal comfortably with senior stakeholders
- Industry or practice background welcomed
