Your new company:
You'll be joining a specialist environmental services business who are part of a larger group and offers a stable, practical environment where finance has good visibility across the business.
How you'll spend your time:
- Preparing accounts up to trial balance and sending information to the Finance Director.
- Completing VAT returns and CIS returns.
- Supporting weekly payroll for around 12 people.
- Supporting monthly payroll activity and sending payroll reports to the external provider.
- Preparing accruals and prepayments.
- Overseeing accounts payable.
- Completing bank reconciliations.
- Managing daily cash activity.
- Working with Navision/MS Dynamics, with the business due to move across to Xero.
- Learning the current Accounts Manager's role thoroughly so the finance function continues to run smoothly during maternity cover.

- You have strong bookkeeping experience.
- You are AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- You are confident preparing accounts up to trial balance.
- You have experience across VAT, payroll support, reconciliations and month-end work.
- You understand CIS, or are comfortable picking it up quickly.
- You are organised, accurate and comfortable taking ownership of a varied finance role.
- You are comfortable working on site for most of the week, with some hybrid flexibility.
- You can commit to a 6 to 12 month contract.
