An established £14m turnover manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Commercial Accountant to support financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a key role focused on cost control, systems development, and delivering high-quality financial insight. This is a newly created, permanent position, with scope for progression within a fast-growing group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, track margins, and lead initiatives to identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and manage key financial KPIs to monitor business performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Provide clear variance analysis and forecasting to highlight financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to longer-term financial planning.
- Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting tools, with a focus on automation and data accuracy.
- Ensure strong internal controls and full compliance with financial regulations and audit standards.
- Partner with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insight and influence commercial decisions.
- Maintain high reporting standards, consistently meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
Candidate Profile:
- CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified (QBE considered with relevant experience).
- Background in manufacturing or product-based environments.
- Strong understanding of costing and financial systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident communicator, able to engage across the business.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Package & Benefits:
- £40,000 - £45,000 (negotiable).
- 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days.
