An established £14m turnover manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Commercial Accountant to support financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a key role focused on cost control, systems development, and delivering high-quality financial insight. This is a newly created, permanent position, with scope for progression within a fast-growing group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis, track margins, and lead initiatives to identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and manage key financial KPIs to monitor business performance and support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide clear variance analysis and forecasting to highlight financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to longer-term financial planning.
  • Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting tools, with a focus on automation and data accuracy.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and full compliance with financial regulations and audit standards.
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insight and influence commercial decisions.
  • Maintain high reporting standards, consistently meeting tight deadlines under pressure.

Candidate Profile:

  • CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified (QBE considered with relevant experience).
  • Background in manufacturing or product-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of costing and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage across the business.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Package & Benefits:

  • £40,000 - £45,000 (negotiable).
  • 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • 1pm finish on Fridays!
