We’re supporting a Birmingham-based business who need an Accounts Assistant to come in and support a busy finance team that is currently under pressure and needs someone who can genuinely hit the ground running.
This is a hands-on transactional role - ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the detail and keeping things moving.
What you’ll be doing:
- High-volume purchase ledger invoice processing
- Matching, coding and posting invoices accurately
- Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
- Bank reconciliations and cash allocation
- Processing payments and expenses
- Supporting month-end close activities
- General finance admin and team support
What we need from you:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Confident handling purchase ledger and reconciliations
- Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Available immediately or at short notice
- Solid Excel and system confidence
