The firm has experienced significant growth in recent years and is now looking to strengthen its Audit team with the appointment of an Audit & Accounts Senior. This role offers a genuine mix of audit, accounts and client advisory work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to continue progressing their career within a modern, forward‑thinking practice.
Working closely with managers and directors, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality audit and accounting services to a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and corporate clients. Responsibilities include:
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Preparing corporation tax computations
- Working directly with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Managing audit fieldwork and coordinating junior team members
- Supporting and mentoring trainees and junior staff
- Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and add value
- Assisting with advisory projects where appropriate
- Working closely with managers and directors to ensure excellent client service
This is a client‑facing role offering exposure to a broad range of industries and business types.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong audit experience gained within accountancy practice
- Experience preparing statutory accounts
- Good working knowledge of FRS102 and FRS105
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
- Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- A proactive and commercial mindset
