A growing, multi-site Private Equity-backed organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide senior finance leadership through to January initially, with potential to extend. This is a hands-on assignment requiring someone who can get up to speed quickly, take ownership of the finance function and provide stability and leadership from day one. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll oversee financial reporting and controls while providing the commercial insight needed to support operational performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end process and consolidated management accounts across multiple entities
  • Lead day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, reconciliations and cash management
  • Manage cashflow forecasting, working capital, supplier payments and debtor management
  • Provide clear analysis of P&L performance, profitability and cashflow trends
  • Support budgeting and forecasting
  • Strengthen financial controls, reconciliations and existing finance processes
  • Support statutory audit and year-end requirements
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and discipline
  • Provide leadership and direction to the existing finance team

About You

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Experienced Financial Controller with a strong management accounting background
  • Able to hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
  • Commercially minded and confident partnering with senior and operational stakeholders
  • Strong on cashflow, controls and financial reporting
  • An experienced team leader who can quickly build credibility
  • Available at short notice / immediately
