Head of Operations in London

Head of Operations in London

London Full-Time On-site
Dot Dot Bubble Tea

Dot Dot is a fast-growing London drinks manufacturer producing innovative ready-to-drink teas ( bubble teas, Iced teas, artisan craft teas..etc) for national retail, foodservice, hospitality and travel customers.

We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Operations to take ownership of our manufacturing operation and build the operational infrastructure needed to scale Dot Dot.

We’re looking for a proven manufacturing leader who has successfully led operational teams, managed production managers, resolved cross-functional challenges and delivered measurable improvements in productivity, labour efficiency and manufacturing capacity.

Your mission:

Our immediate operational challenge is clear: Build and implement a scale up production model, while improving labour efficiency, quality and operational control. We want someone who will analyse, implement, test, measure, refine and ultimately own the result.

What you’ll own:

Manufacturing & capacity

  • Take ownership of our end-to-end manufacturing operation.

  • Map and assess the current production process.

  • Identify bottlenecks, downtime and capacity constraints.

  • Improve line balancing, workflow and production sequencing.

  • Develop and implement the production model required for our next stage of growth.

  • Assess where equipment, automation or process changes could increase capacity or reduce cost.

Test, measure & improve

You’ll turn operational ideas into measurable results.

  • Designing and running production improvement trials.

  • Measuring output, labour hours, downtime, waste and yield.

  • Refining processes based on real production results.

  • Implementing successful changes permanently.

Labour & productivity

You’ll take ownership of improving factory productivity, including:

Production planning

Own weekly and daily production planning across:

  • Customer demand and forecasts.

KPIs & operational control

Introduce a simple, disciplined operational dashboard covering:

  • Labour cost / Production plan / Downtime / Waste and yield / Changeover time.

Processes & SOPs

  • Develop and improve production SOPs.

  • Introduce practical continuous-improvement processes.

  • Build systems that reduce reliance on individual team members.

Equipment & factory operations

  • Supplier and engineering relationships.

  • Factory layout and workflow.

  • Future machinery and automation requirements.

People leadership

  • People manager of our managers.

  • Set clear responsibilities and expectations.

  • Coach existing ops team members.

  • Develop future supervisors and managers.

  • Build a culture of think, test, measure and improve.

This is a leadership role, but it is not a role for someone who wants to manage entirely from an office. You’ll be expected to understand what’s happening on the production floor and work alongside the team.

Supporting our next stage of growth

As the business develops, your responsibilities will broaden beyond production into wider operational leadership, including supply chain, procurement, warehousing, logistics, operational budgeting and capacity planning.

You must have solid experience as FMCG Operations Manager | Production Manager | Manufacturing Manager | Factory Manager | Senior Production Manager, and be ready for broader responsibility.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing

  • Experience managing a production operation and team

  • A proven track record of improving output, efficiency or capacity

  • Strong production planning and problem-solving skills

  • Solid Experience with continuous improvement and SOPs

  • Solid experience of SALSA or similar food-safety standards

  • A hands-on approach, comfortable working on the factory floor as well as managing the bigger picture

Most importantly, we want someone who can show us what you’ve actually improved , what the operation looked like before, what you changed and the measurable result afterwards.

Why join Dot Dot?

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply maintain someone else’s operating model. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and build it.

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership, have a huge impact on how a growing British drinks brand with your skills and talents.

As Dot Dot grows, your career will grow with us, with the potential to develop into senior operational leadership for a successful British brand.
