About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Qualified Chartered Accountant to join our growing practice. This is a client-facing role focused on discussing draft accounts with small to medium business owners. Our accounting team prepares the accounts up to draft stage, allowing you to focus on building client relationships, explaining financial information, answering queries, and coordinating any amendments with our UK and India-based accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to discuss draft accounts
- Conduct meetings at client premises
- Liaise with our UK clients and India-based Chartered Accountants regarding queries and amendments
- Prepare and submit daily activity reports and Meeting Reports
- Maintain excellent client relationships and provide professional advice on accounting matters
- Typically, you will attend approximately three client appointments per day, all arranged by our team.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience
- UK driving licence
- Working knowledge of: Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT, Payroll
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable meeting clients face-to-face and remotely
- Seeking long-term career stability and growth
- One visit per month to our East Croydon head office during onboarding, reducing to every 6-8 weeks once established
