An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Hotel Manager to join our leadership team at Dorsett Shepherds Bush, London.
As Hotel Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the overall success of the hotel, providing strong, visible leadership across all aspects of day-to-day operations. With a strong Rooms Division background and a passion for delivering exceptional standards, you will be responsible for driving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, revenue performance and cost control, while delivering strong financial results for the business.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial and business acumen, identifying opportunities to optimise total hotel revenue. You will be an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, capable of building positive and effective relationships across the board.
We are looking for a results-driven, highly organised and commercially focused leader who can inspire teams, implement best practice and consistently deliver an outstanding guest experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Department Heads to provide visible, inspiring and effective leadership, representing the company positively to guests and colleagues and ensuring a consistently customer-focused approach across all hotel operations.
Utilise Guest Satisfaction Index (GSI) data and other key performance metrics to identify opportunities, measure success and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience.
Attract, develop, motivate and retain a high-performing team of Department Heads and employees, ensuring full compliance with company policies and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the consistent implementation and adherence to all company policies, systems and procedures relating to hotel operations, including maintenance, environmental health and safety, quality assurance and operational standards.
Monitor employee engagement, morale and turnover, actively supporting the Associate Satisfaction process and ensuring appropriate action plans are developed, implemented and followed through.
Establish and maintain a clear and effective internal communication strategy, ensuring information is shared consistently across the hotel and supporting teams through structured meetings, daily briefings and regular updates.
Experience & Qualifications
5 years+ of Hotel Management experience.
A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages are an asset.
University Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Economic Studies or a related discipline.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Highly computer literate.
Knowledgeable in hotel technology: Opera Cloud PMS system.
