About the Role
A Police Staff Investigator will act as case officer for a variety of lower level offences which include but not exclusively criminal damage, theft and assaults.
The expectation will be to carry out investigations professionally, ethically, thoroughly and expeditiously in accordance with investigation policy, Professional Investigation Programme (PIP) standards and legal requirements.
The duties include preparing and conducting interviews of suspects, submission of quality case files for court and ensuring relevant safeguarding measures are undertaken including appropriate risk and impact assessments for the victim and where appropriate the wider community.
Please note: The successful candidate will work a shift pattern working days, lates and weekends.
Shift pattern and allowances will be confirmed if selected for an interview, where a pattern requires you to work weekends there is also an enhancement to your allowances.
